Event description

Changing Your World with Resilience

At the end of November 2017, 250 pupils from S5 and S6 will sit their senior phase preliminary exams. In this session, business leaders will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire your students to make informed decisions about rising to challenges. The key message is that being resilient to challenging life events really can change your world. Other key messages include opening minds to new challenges, personal planning and overcoming challenges by communicating with others.

Speakers will tell their own honest, inspiring and uplifting stories about their career journey:
- What they learned at school (skills/experiences) that is still relevant to them now
- What they wish they had learned at school (skills/experiences) that would have helped them in their first five years of leaving school
- What inspired them to choose their career path
- How they have faced challenges and worked to make the seemingly 'impossible', possible!
