The event was created by 5atcnzomukjnphjcjddxuj for 75 students at Torriano Primary School aged Age 10 - 11.

Event description

Inspire our students

Business leaders participate in a series of short, focused conversations about specific career questions and topics. Business leaders meet a limited number of mentees in 10-minute time slots each.

These encounters should be set up as a student-led, ‘carousel’-style activity, where groups of students move between different business leaders, with pre-prepared quick-fire questions.

Speed mentoring offers students the opportunity to ask meaningful questions to a range of different business leaders, to gain an insight into their working life and receive advice on the skills that are needed to be successful in today’s economy.

Our school is a Rights Respecting level 2 school. This means that our children ask questions about global issues and will definitely surprise you with their knowledge and confidence. This year our whole school focus is on oracy and communication and we will be exploring how the Right to be Heard works in real life. Are these skills relevant in our computer led society? Is language still important? Does it matter if you can't express yourself verbally?
