Event description
Deans Community High Careers Week - 28th August-1st September 2017
Good morning,
I'm a business teacher at Deans Community High and also the school's Business Partnership Coordinator. I'm currently looking for employers who would be interested in helping us out with our upcoming Careers Week (28th-1st August 2017).
We're basically on the hunt for workers who are willing to give 20 minute talks to S2 classes, which give pupils insight into their industry, and linking their industry to a specific subject in the school. I say talk, however, in the past some visitors who felt conscious about talking for this time have chosen to provide a more practical approach to their presentation, possibly doing an activity with this class - the choice is yours!
We hope Careers Week will inspire S2 pupils at the start of their school year and contribute towards decision making for their course choices at the end of the year.
If this is something you can do, then please let me know if you can make any of the stated dates, and furthermore, request any specific times, if this may be a restriction.
