Event description

Choosing the education/career path right for you - how to be employable

The business speakers will help set the scene in the first hour of the day of the importance of business and inspire the young people to make the most of their day of activities helping them understand what makes one more employable. The Young Enterprise programme is a full day programme but the business speakers need only attend the one hour panel discussion.

Programme Objectives (what the programme will cover after the one hour talk)
- Provide an awareness of key employability skills and attitudes needed regardless of future career choices (employment, self employment, further education). Namely teamwork, communication, organisation, confidence, resilience, financial literacy, problem solving and entrepreneurial ability
- Understand what makes a good CV
- learn and practice good interview technique
