Event description

Apprenticeship Speed Networking Event

Following the huge success of our apprenticeship speed networking for our younger students last summer, we have decided to run a similar event for Years 11 - 13 (16 - 18 year olds) in six weeks' time.

This is an ideal time of year as all those students who are considering their future options, either post-GCSEs or post-A Levels, are open to new ideas and keen to find out more. Interestingly, whilst many of our sixth form have traditionally seen the UCAS application as their next step, they are increasingly realising the benefit of Higher and Degree apprenticeship options.

The event will take place on Wednesday 22 March from 11.30am – 4pm in our theatre space. The students will be timetabled in every half hour, supervised by teaching staff, and will have the opportunity to circulate around at least six apprentices or providers for either 1:1 or small group conversations. Our students have been hugely engaged and interested to talk to people like yourself at our previous events.

I have already recruited a wide range of volunteers, from training providers to apprentices themselves. We really want this one to communicate the breadth of opportunities now available in apprenticeships and the benefits of an earn and learn route for all sorts of career paths.

We will provide refreshments to ensure that you are able to make it through the afternoon!

I do hope that you are able to join us. And if you know of anyone else who has made their career through the apprenticeship route or runs an apprenticeship programme and think that they would be interested in an energising afternoon inspiring the next generation – then please do pass me their details!

I very much hope that we will be meeting at the end of March.

Kind regards, Sophie
