Event description

Inspiration & Motivation

Our whole school will be off timetable for the afternoon from 1:10 to 3:10, to focus on skills and knowledge as mixed Year group Houses. Part of the school will be focused on developing their Enterprise skills.
We would like to have our guest speakers address the students and stay for the duration of the afternoon, beginning with an introductory talk in the classrooms for 10-20 mins. There will be 2-3 guest speakers in each room. We would love this to be quick fire! We want to hear your stories about success, hard work, dedication, and the journey taken to achieve where you are today.
Students love hearing about school subjects, first jobs etc - the pot noodles eaten whilst your companies are in infancy, the problems encountered against the resilience needed to solve them...
Students will then receive a brief and work in teams to achieve the best outcome in the hour timescale given. Risk management, product design, marketing etc are some of the issues tackled. We will then have a dragons den event in the classroom as a finale where the students will pitch their ideas against one another to our guests to judge and give points to particularly successful groups.
