Event description

"In conversation with entrepreneurs"

We are holding an "Entrepreneurship Fortnight" for the whole school this November. It is an area that is sometimes neglected when we think about careers advice for girls, whereas for boys they are more often encouraged to set up their own business.

I am now looking for guests for our flagship event which will be an "in conversation" hosted by a lecturer from the London Business School. Girls from the twp Francis Holland Schools will be joined by girls from St Marylebone, the Grey Coat Hospital and the London Academy for Excellence (state schools). I have two guests booked already - a representative of the 30% club with a background in finance and another female entrepreneur with a background in fashion and i am now looking for one or two more to complete a panel.

The purpose is to provide role models for girls who may want to set up their own businesses and to make sure that they are not only steered towards traditional careers, albeit with the best possible intentions. Guests will be given questions in advance by our host and there will be a short time for questions from the audience in the last fifteen minutes.

The event will begin at 5pm and finish at 6pm.
