Our three pillars

Much of the education system around the world is designed for a world that no longer exists, and the impacts of Brexit and the Covid-19 pandemic have only accelerated this.

In fact by one popular estimate, it is expected that 65% of children entering primary school today will ultimately end up working in completely new job types that don’t yet exist.

To prepare young people for the jobs of today, and the future, we focus on three key pillars to address the increasing skills gap in the developing workforce and improve social mobility and drive gender equity in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths). Our diverse network of relatable role models inspire young people through industry insights, skills workshops, or highlighting pathways such as apprenticeships. This helps young people to see the career opportunities available to them in these industries and advance the emerging workforce into successful career pathways.

We do this by working strategically with industry leaders within in these sectors to deliver focused careers education and role model encounters with professionals working in these areas to show young people the opportunities available to them.

We are seeking pillar sponsors to work together strategically to deliver exceptional careers education within these areas, if you are interested in becoming a pillar sponsor, contact Melanie on fundraising@founders4schools.org.uk for more information.
