Inspiring and empowering the next generation in their future careers.

Following the success of Careers Jam last year which supported over 1,600 young people in their next steps into the world of work, we are excited to be holding the event again in 2022 and it's set to be even bigger and better than before!

When?

Tuesday 3rd May 2022 - 10am - 4pm. The whole platform, including recordings of the sessions, will then be available on-demand throughout the summer until September, meaning this is a fantastic careers education resource for four whole months!

What?

The day will include a variety of panel discussions and workshops from the likes of Google, Tate & Lyle and Workfinder, where industry leaders and young professionals will share their experiences, advice and tips on a range of issues relevant to young people. Young people will be able to engage in discussions about a variety of topics, such as digital careers, sustainability, financial awareness and entrepreneurship. There will also be a host of exhibition stands where attendees can chat live and arrange 1:1 meetings with prospective employers and educators

Where?

The event is free to attend online from any laptop, desktop, tablet or mobile device!

Who?

Anyone can attend the event but it is perfect for 16-24 year olds seeking career guidance and opportunities, including school & college students/leavers, university students/graduates and those seeking employment or training. Educators, career leaders and parents can also attend with young people or encourage them to attend individually. Young people who pre-register will be entered into our prize draw to win a £100 Amazon voucher!

Why?

Only 1 in 10 young people feel confident they can find quality work where they live. As a result of the pandemic, work experience opportunities have been scarce, apprenticeships and internships have not been offered as widely as usual and youth unemployment rates have been anticipated to rise by 163%. We are on a mission to help young people to prepare for their future careers, and help to narrow the skills gap.

Want to get involved as an organisation?

If your organisation provides early career opportunities, or would like to inspire more young people to pursue a career in your industry, the F4S virtual Careers Jam for 16-24 year olds is the perfect opportunity to inspire the next generation.

We have a range of sponsorship packages available as well as virtual exhibition opportunities available for our corporate supporters. This is a great way to connect with the next generation of talent and offers the opportunity to hold panel discussions or keynote addresses to all attendees.

You can also advertise any early careers opportunities, connect 1:1 with young people, and as the platform is live for four months, you can update this information with new opportunities whenever you like.
